A Compelling Fusion of Folk Rock and Roots

Jerry Donahue and Susan Rey are both gifted musicians with distinguished lists of accomplishments and form the core of Ashgrove. This project for them is a labor of love bringing a genre that we all loved back to the public. Some will be recreated just as you heard it years ago allowing all of those memories to flood back (or for our younger fans creating all new memories!). Some of the music will be favorites re-imagined and taken to a whole new place.

 

Add to this the talent of drummer Tom Walsh (America, Spyro Gyra), bassists include Grammy Award winning Matt Malley (Counting Crows), Russ Buchanan (Player, Thieves) and Harrison John Davis (Ricky Nelson). You will also hear the amazing pipes, whistles and harp of Davy Spillane, Maartin Allcock and Jimmy Powers. One listen and you will see why their music is so compelling.

This will be the only CD for Ashgrove as Jerry's stroke has taken the talent of a musical genius from the world.
